  • Open to: Undergraduates 
  • Award Amount: 7,500 CAD
  • Renewable: Not Renewable
  • Total Number of Recipients: 700
  • Can International Students Apply: Yes
  • Application Opening: Fall of every year

Every year, the University of Toronto awards the scholars program to about 700 students. Of course, this includes both international and domestic students. However, this scholarship program is open to undergraduates who have already got admission to the University.

Therefore, students who are applying for any undergraduate program at the U of T will be considered for this scholarship program. The University of Toronto scholars award is one of the scholarships the university offers based on the candidates’ past educational performance.

You do not require a separate application, just your previous academic performance. While applying for this scholarship have in mind that it is not a renewable scholarship. It’s only open to students in the freshman year.

  • Total Number of Recipients: 37
  • Can International Students Apply: Yes
  • Application Opening: Fall of every year 

If you’re a leader or have exhibited strong leadership skills you have a chance of getting the Lester B. Pearson International Student Scholarships. The Lester B. Pearson International Student Scholarships is one of the awards offered by the University of Toronto.

Basically, this award is open to exceptional students who have maintained high standing in their academics. Not just that, they must possess leadership potential. 

All students who make it into the University of Toronto via the Lester B. Pearson International Student Scholarship are selected and shortlisted based on the impact and change they have made in their community or school. 

Also, they will be assessed based on their future intentions for their community. There is no exact amount for this scholarship, however, it covers the recipients’ tuition, dormitory/residential expenses, book cost, and incidental costs.

What is the Application Deadline for the University of Toronto Scholarships?

Depending on the scholarships you’re applying to, the deadline might greatly differ. 

There are quite a few deadlines for applying to the University of Toronto scholarships.

  • The last date for the school nomination of candidates is usually November 30th, every year.
  • However, the application deadline for the scholarship is January 17th, the following year.
  • OUAC application deadline is usually December 15th, each year.
