The University of Toronto School of Continuing Education (SCS) offers approximately 700 courses in more than 40 program areas.

• Business courses cost 599 Canadian dollars and other career development courses.
• The one-time course fees for creative writing and other courses range from 400 to 600 Canadian dollars.

Cost of Living in Toronto

• Because it is a big city, you can find all kinds of housing and rental situations. If you decide to live on campus, the dormitory will cost approximately $8,000-10,000 per year, including meals; but you only have 8 months, because you must move out before the end of the summer. You can choose to rent a room in a shared apartment for $450-550 per month.
• The food is a bit expensive, and the restaurant will add a 15% tax plus bill. It is much cheaper to buy goods from the supermarket because there is no tax and it is cheaper to buy.
• TTC will charge you CAD$3 for a ride. You can get a monthly pass 100 just a little different. As a student of the university, you can get discounted TTC passes at the Student Union; they are cheaper.
• If you have the money to buy a bike, I think that would be a very nice idea as it will save you money and If you need to buy something nearby you can ride there to get it without having to spend on transportation. Most of UofT’s campus and downtown Toronto can be reached by bicycle.
• Other living expenses, such as food, books, leisure, etc., according to students’ consumption and spending habits, and reach up to 800 to 1,000 Canadian dollars per month.

How to Apply for Admission to the University of Toronto School of Continuing Education / Studies

You will need to visit the official website of the school, there you will choose your specific course and the requirements for applying for the that courses will appear, then follow it and apply for the application closing date.

If you need financial assistance, you can apply for financial aid after you are admitted. If you have checked yourself and finds out that you cannot be studying effectively on campus, maybe because you are an international student or you have a job or something going on that takes your time, you can decide to study online.

If you are studying online, you will receive the same teachings an on-campus student receives and you will also get a certificate after the completion of the course which is also equivalent to someone who studies on-campus.
