Brief History of the University of Burdwan

The University of Burdwan was established in 1960 as a teaching-cum-affiliating university. It started with only 37 colleges and 5 departments, but today the university has grown to accommodate over 200 colleges and 30 departments. The campus is located in the Bardhaman district of West Bengal, India.
