The PhD scholarships for international students in Europe, launched in 2004, awards fellowships to international students who are women from developing and emerging economies to pursue PhD or Post-doctorate studies in science, engineering, technology and mathematics (STEM) courses at leading universities worldwide.

Konrad-Adenauer-Stiftung Scholarships in Germany for International Students

The scholarship for the promotion of international students is aimed at foreign students and doctoral candidates who have completed their academic studies in their country and complete a further study like postgraduate program/Master, a doctorate or not less than two-semester research stay at a German university.

Masters or PhD Degree in any subject.

Eligible Group

PhD candidates from countries that are undergoing political transformation, also emerging and developing countries however in principle, international students and doctoral candidates from other countries of the world can apply

Scholarship Benefits

The values and duration of the financial award depend on the study objective.

Graduates receive a monthly € 850 scholarship award, for the next two years

Doctoral students, provided that they have complied with the requirements for admission to PhD studies at a university of the Federal Republic of Germany without any condition, and scholarship holders who had a comparable or equivalent degree to the German Master’s degree, who come to Germany for research purposes only and who can as well prove at least 24 months of scientific activity at the beginning of the period of scholarship, receive monthly scholarship money for €1,100, -. Which will last for 3 years.

Several good grants and subsidies are also made available ad part of the benefits of this PhD scholarships for international students in Europe – up to €120 is offered for health and other things.

Tuition fees at the institutions can be reimbursed up to € 500, – each semester. But, only costs for courses that are about the study or doctoral project are duly recognized.

Rhodes Scholarships at Oxford University for International Students

This is one of the PhD scholarships for international students in Europe supporting exceptional all-round graduate students at the University of Oxford. Established according to the will of Cecil Rhodes in 1902, the Rhodes is apparently the oldest and perhaps the most prestigious all-around international scholarship program in the world.

Rhodes Scholars may study any regular postgraduate degree offered at the University of Oxford.

Students from  China, Germany, Hong Kong, India, Israel, Australia, Bermuda, Canada, Jamaica & the Commonwealth  Pakistan, Southern Africa Caribbean, Kenya, Malaysia, New Zealand, (including South Africa, Namibia and Swaziland, Botswana, Lesotho, Malawi,), Syria, Jordan, Lebanon and Palestine (SJLP), West Africa, Zambia and Zimbabwe, United Arab Emirates, United States.

Scholarship Benefits

A Rhodes international scholarships cover All University and College fees; including the University application fee; a living stipend (£14,276 per year); one economy class airfare to Oxford at the commencement of the scholarship award and one economy flight back to the student’s country after the scholarship.

The basic period of the scholarship is 24 months.

FINCAD Women in Finance Scholarship

FINCAD began the annual FINCAD Women in Finance Scholarship to encourage, help, and support outstanding women-students in the field of finance to seek graduate-level studies.

Amelia Earhart Fellowships for Women

Started in 1938 in honour of famed pilot and Zontian, Amelia Earhart, the PhD scholarships for international students in Europe is awarded annually to 35 women pursuing PhD doctoral degrees in aerospace-related sciences or aerospace-related engineering at a university or a college offering accredited courses and degrees in the aforementioned fields.
