How to set up Chime to work with Zelle (step by step)

What you need to know is that using Chime with Zelle no longer works in most cases. Some users have reported getting it to work with the Zelle app, but some people have had no luck.

You can try to do the following.

The first thing you need to be able to make use of Zelle with your Chime account is to download and install the Zelle app on your device. You can download the Zelle app if you make use of either an Android or iOS.

After you have successfully installed the Zelle app, you must create an account on the app. To create an account, you will need to provide your mobile phone number. After you’ve done that, click ‘’Continue’’.

The next thing you need to son on the app is to find your bank. When you are asked to find your bank, type “Chime” into the space where you are asked, “Where do you bank?” Don’t worry, you won’t actually find Chime in the results. This is okay. All you need to do next is, Click “Don’t see your bank?” to continue.

The next thing you will have to do is to add a debit card as required on the next screen. Since you want to use your Chime account in Zelle, all you have to do is to add your Chime debit card number. When you’re done, click Continue.

Finally, you will have to choose a password for your new Zelle account, as this will secure your account

Are there any Restrictions on using Banking Apps with Zelle?

There is no limit to the amount that can be transferred daily, but there is a weekly limit. Transfers cannot exceed $500 per week.

This limitation means that it is not a suitable solution when you need to run large transactions. For example, when you use Zelle at another bank, such as Bank of America, you can transfer up to $3,500.

How Fast Are Zelle Payments Made with Chime?

The biggest downside to making Zelle work with Chime is that Chime isn’t currently supported, so you have to use a credit card to send payments.

This means that your payment will not be sent as quickly as a regular Zelle payment.

Payments are far from immediate but can take several business days.

Either way, if making use of Zelle through your Chime account, this is still your best option.

Advantages

Financial apps have many benefits to help you manage your money. When we talk about Zelle and Chime for transactions by combining them, you will find several advantages such as:

  • Transferring money is easy
  • Transactions with Zelle are encrypted; I.E. No one can see your transfer data
  • The customer support of both platforms offers real-time customer support.
  • These are free apps. Zelle has no transfer fee

First, it’s a free app, which is a great option if you want to save and trade at no extra charge. Fast money transfers are also one of the reasons why you can send and receive money in a few minutes.

In addition, it eliminates the need to always carry cash with you to make purchases. Instead, you only need to use your phone when it’s necessary to complete transactions. It is even fully compatible with multiple banks.

Finally, Zelle has the necessary security measures in place to prevent your data from being compromised. The app has many defence mechanisms in a bid to make sure that you are protected at all times.
