Application for First-Year Students
If you applied to WSU for the academic year immediately after graduating from high school or did not take any college courses after graduation, you are considered to be applying as a first-year student.
WSU does not require students to submit SAT/ACT scores during the application process and does not use them to make admissions decisions.
How to apply for first-year admissions
To apply as a freshman, follow the instructions below.

- Use the WSU Pullman admission application
- The admission application date is March 31 for the priority date. Applications must be completed by March 31 to be eligible for automatic college waivers and exemptions such as DUAA, UAA and WUE/Cougar awards.
- College waivers are awarded based on eligibility at the time of admission to WSU. Applications received after March 31st are welcome and will be considered subject to availability. If you decide to participate in a period not mentioned in your application, you must apply again.
- If you’re in the top 10% of your class or have an unweighted GPA of 3.6+, then you should check the assured admission, the school has made out a place for you.
- Apply for financial support
- To ensure that you receive the maximum financial aid possible, you must submit an Application for FAFSA or WASFA

If you are still in high school when applying, in addition to filling out the admission application, follow the following instructions:
Submit your transcript to WSU by uploading it when you complete the application for admission, using the file uploader in your myWSU account, using a recognized document service or by mail or e-mail.
If you have college credit, request that the college send official transcripts to the school.
Final official transcripts must be obtained before admission and sent directly to WSU from the school or testing agency by mail, fax, or a recognized document service. Please note that Washington State University do not accept emailed official transcripts or test scores.

If you have attended college after the summer of high school, you will be considered a transfer student for admission. Following are the application steps

Washington State University Acceptance Rate for International Students
Washington State University does not have a different acceptance rate for international students and you need to follow almost the same application route as domestic students only that you need to submit other additional documents like test scores and more.
